Sven Ulreich cut a hugely dejected figure at the full-time whistle at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid, which preceded a very emotional post on social media.
And since uploading a message saying he's sorry, his Bayern Munich teammates have brilliantly reached out.
Bayern Munich failed to progress from the Champions League semi-final, partly down to a massive mistake from Ulreich who let in Karim Benzema to score Real Madrid's second goal of the match.

The French striker made it 2-1 on the night, making it an uphill task for the German champions. While the visitors scored another goal, they were unable to grab a third to send them through.
And following the game, Ulreich shared an image of him visibly gutted accompanied with the words:
"Words can not describe how disappointed I am about leaving the CL. We really wanted to reach the final and we did our best and then this unnecessary mistake happened to me. I can not explain it. I'm sorry... for my team and for you fans."
Teammates including James Rodriguez and Javi Martinez 'liked' the post, while also penning a message to him.

Bayern Munich also messaged saying: "Win as a team, lose as a team." Class.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have sewn up the Bundesliga title while set to take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Cup final.
