Before Manchester United's 2-1 win over Liverpool at the weekend the big news was that Paul Pogba was once again absent through injury. Now it's been revealed which of his teammates was accidentally at fault.
Paul Pogba is the enigma at Old Trafford that no one can quite work out, even Jose Mourinho. The Manchester United midfielder has been in and out of the team with differing results because of injury and form all season.
The Frenchman started the season well before injury set him back and he never returned to those levels, he then took time out of the team because of illness before returning for a good performance against Chelsea.

These gym fails could result in a bad injury:
On the weekend he missed the United win over Liverpool because of an injury suffered in training with Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic impressing and many summasing that the Red Devils had better balance without their £89 million man.
They may have to do without him on Tuesday night when they face Sevilla in the Champions League second round second leg too.

The Times report that it was actually an incident involving Scott McTominay that has led to the injury. According to the newspaper the former Juventus man was unintentionally caught by the Scot.
McTominay's recent form led to a tussle between England and Scotland over his nationality but Gareth Southgate was unable to persuade him to play for the Three Lions and he chose the country of his birth.
The United midfielder didn't represent either country at any youth level and his development in the last 18 months at Old Trafford has been huge. Performances against Sevilla and Chelsea increased his reputation but the game at the weekend may have been his best yet.
The 21 year-old has now been called up by Scotland for their upcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary at the end of this month and he's partially got Pogba's illness and injury to thank for that.

He might have been the person to have benefited most from the injury but McTominay will no doubt be hoping his teammate is back to full fitness soon.
If Pogba can't get back his teammate he may soon return the favour in training.
