Tweet...Of...The...Year

In case you've been living under a rock or just constantly leathered for the last four years, you'll probably have noticed that Liverpool's defence is complete and utter bobbins.

Evidence of this fact was once again on show yesterday at Wembley, when Jurgen Klopp's men were humiliated 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds found themselves 2-0 down within the opening 11 minutes, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min and also thanks in no small part to some incredibly suspect defending by Dejan Lovren, who was operating as if constantly listening to the Benny Hill theme music.

Mohamed Salah did pull a goal back for the visitors before Dele Alli capitalised on a failure of a Joel Matip clearance to restore Spurs' two goal cushion, ith Harry Kane then extending Mauricio Pochettino's side's lead to three goals after a (stop us if you've heard this one before) Simon Mignolet howler.

I mean, even Djimi Traore, a man most famous for Cruyff turning the ball into his own net during an FA Cup tie against Burnley 12 years ago, was having a pop at Liverpool's back four.

But the best tweet of the afternoon, in fact, maybe even the year, belonged to Paralympic silver medalist, Ali Jawad, who stole the show with this little beauty that, at the time of writing, had over 11,000 retweets and over 15,000 likes.

The Team GB hero may be a world and European powerlifting champion, but this tweet will always be his finest hour in our eyes. Give him a knighthood and be done with it.
