40-Year Old Player's Card Goes From Bronze To Gold On FIFA 19

A huge difference in one year...

We've focused a lot on the upgrades several players have had on FIFA 19 but no-one has had a bigger improvement than 40-year old Argentine Pablo Guinazu.

In 1996, the veteran defensive midfielder started his career off with Newell's Old Boys, the club known for producing the one and only Lionel Messi. He had two spells with Old Boys but now plies his trade with Talleres de Cordoba, where he is the club captain.

Clearly, EA Sports think he's still going strong and have given him a quite remarkable boost on the upcoming game. On FIFA 18, the 13-time capped Argentina international was a 64-rated CDM going for 200 coins but fast forward a year and he's now climbed a massive 11 overall marks to 75.

He must have been doing serious business last season. But most bizarrely, he's got an insane 82 physical rating which is predominantly rounded up from his ridiculous 89 stamina. The guy's an actual tank and officially our new favourite player on the game.

EA Sports have a habit of doing weird things on the game. For starters, one of the worst players on FIFA 18 isn't even a real footballer - that being Tomm Käßemodel.

Käßemodel is listed as a central midfielder for German second division outfit FC Erzgebirge Aue. In reality, it turns out that while Käßemodel is on the books at Erzgebirge as a member of the first team squad, he's actually the club's kit man.

He spends his time preparing kit these days but because Erzgebirge needed at least four members of their first-team squad to have come through the club's youth academy, he made the game.
