Fans have all noticed the same thing after Pep Guardiola decided to take off Ilkay Gundogan during Manchester City’s match against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.

City were looking to extend their lead at the summit of the Premier League as they lined up against Sam Allardyce's Leeds at the Etihad Stadium.

As expected, City controlled the proceedings from the get-go as they dominated possession.

City made the breakthrough after just 19 minutes after Gundogan expertly finished off a Riyad Mahrez low cross.

Seven minutes later, City were 2-0 as Gundogan gets his second goal of the match after again combining with Mahrez.

In the second half, City were given a golden chance to make it 3-0 after Phil Foden was fouled inside the 18-yard box.

Erling Haaland appeared to hand the ball to Gundogan who ended up missing the penalty.

City boss Guardiola was visibly angry as he was captured saying “Erling, you have to take it.” towards Haaland straight after the incident.

Moments later, Rodrigo scored for Leeds to make it a nervy finish to the match.

As the match went into stoppage time, Gundogan was substituted by Guardiola.

However, as he walked off the pitch, there was no handshake between the player and the manager, which has got fans talking on social media.

One said: “Pep refused to shake Gundogan because he took and miss that penalty?”

Another tweeted: “Pep was fuming telling him to take it but Gundogan wanted a hatrick.”

A third fan added: “No handshake between Pep and Gundo! Wow he is not happy.”

Someone else wrote: “Gundogan even looked over to Pep, still no handshake.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Pep is absolutely fuming isn’t he, guy just blanked Gundogan when he came off.”

As a result of the victory, City are now four points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
