They aren't the only famous faces trying to get their UEFA badges as they look to enter the world of management.

When footballers retire they have one of three options. Go and do even less than they did as a player, become a coach or sit on a sofa in a tv studio. Some famous names are on the beginning of their journeys as coaches.

Let's be honest once you're at the top level of football the life of actually being a footballer isn't too difficult. You train for a couple of hours of day and then head home to your mansion and beautiful wife to play FIFA or go golfing.

When you've finished you're left with a lot of money and you never have to work again. So in this generation it's no surprise that the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger were top managers without having the best careers, the top players simply don't have to work again.

Fortunately they often do and Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard will be the latest top players to try their hand at management next season whilst Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand keep the dough rolling in as pundits.

Over in Italy though it seems they're about to have a very exciting new generation of coaches. According to FIGC starting their latest coaching course are legends Andrea Pirlo, Gabriel Batistuta, Thiago Motta and Alberto Gilardino.

Joining them are some other high profile names in Daniele Bonera, Paolo Cannavaro, Jose Antonio Chamot, Matteo Contini, Francelino Da Silva Matuzalem and Paolo Montero. Imagine being in one of the sessions with all that experience in the room.

Pirlo recently retired after a stint in MLS with New York City FC following a career that saw him win everything with Juventus, Milan and Italy, including the World Cup in 2006.

Legendary striker Batistuta, or Batigol, was one of the best strikers of his generation and has been retired for 13 years but the 49 year old is only just on his journey into coaching.

Motta just won the Ligue 1 title with PSG for the fifth time, having won La Liga and Serie A with Barcelona and Inter Milan respectively, and has become the French side's under 19 manager after retiring at the end of the season.

It's good to see the lads doing something with their days off.
