At club and international level, Francesco Totti has blessed many of the world's greatest players with his presence as a teammate and now, as he enters what could be the last season of the great man's glittering, goal laden career, Totti has named the player who he considers to be the best he's ever stepped onto the pitch alongside.
So who does the Roman Emperor regard to be his greatest ever teammate? Maybe Gabriel Batistuta or Cafu, with whom he won his only Serie A title in 2001? Or one of his fellow Azzurri compatriots Alessandro Del Piero, Andrea Pirlo, Paolo Maldini or Gianluigi Buffon? No to all of them.

Number one on 'The Gladiator's' list? Antonio Cassano.

"Technically Cassano. I had a great rapport off the pitch with him too, so we were in total sync.

"We are talking about not just one of the best players in Italy, but in Europe, because in terms of talent alone he is a phenomenon."
High praise indeed, especially considering how Cassano never quite lived up to his early potential and became more famous for his antics off the pitch than on it.
