Lionel Messi has had his moments of brilliance for both Barcelona and Argentina.

There has been plenty of praise for how incredible the 31-year-old Argentine forward has been in a 'false nine' role and how he could thrive in any footballing system.

However, that doesn't mean that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has not had his low points for both club and country.
