Neymar Offered Brilliant Gesture From Paris Saint-Germain Star

Neymar is on the verge of officially joining Paris Saint-Germain for a world record transfer fee, and ahead of him linking up with the squad, Javier Pastore has offered a brilliant gesture as a welcome act.

The 25-year-old is set to complete a £198 million transfer away from Barcelona with the player reportedly ready to be unveiled this week, after undergoing his medical in Portugal.

And his arrival will be greeted with a present from the Argentine star. Pastore is willing to hand over his No.10 shirt at PSG for the Brazilian.

"I want to offer my shirt to Neymar as a welcome act. I want him to feel comfortable and happy from day one," he told Spanish outlet Cadena Ser via Goal.

"I want to give him all the support he needs so we can win the Champions League together."

The 28-year-old was one of the original signings following the takeover. He joined from Palermo in 2011, and has enjoyed six seasons at the Parc des Princes. Though he began with the No.27 shirt before being upgraded to the prestigious number.

"It's a small detail, but for me it was very important to have it and now I want to welcome him with that little symbol," Pastore added.

Neymar donned the No.11 shirt during his spell at the Camp Nou though is the No.10 for his country.

If he does sport the No.10, he'll join an iconic list of players who have worn that shirt. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and fellow Brazilian Ronaldinho both wore the number during their stints in the French capital.
