Great strike.

Chelsea's Pedro might have secured the Premier League title for Chelsea, their second in three seasons, with an absolutely wonderful goal against Everton in a must win game.

With the Premier League title race getting closer Spurs would have hoped that Everton might do them a favour at Goodison Park before their own big fixture.

Spurs have managed to get the gap down to just four points and knew that if Chelsea slipped up against Everton, as they did recently against Crystal Palace and Manchester United, they had a real chance.

With their last North London derby to come up this afternoon they would have been hoping that Everton's home form would have an impact in the title race.

And for 70 minutes they would have been feeling pretty good about themselves.

The Toffees managed to keep the Blues at bay until Pedro's stunning strike all but guaranteed that the trophy will head to west London:

Late goals from Gary Cahill and Willian but a gloss on the result but it was Pedro's opener that really made the difference in opening Everton up.

Chelsea have home games against Middlesbrough, Watford and Sunderland on the last day of the season to go and also need to travel to West Brom.
