Barcelona shocked the footballing world after they completed the signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng.

To be fair, not many people would have expected the 31-year-old to be one of the Spanish club's top targets in the January transfer window.

While football fans can remain sceptical at his arrival at the Camp Nou, let's not forget that the former Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan star can produce some magical moments on the pitch.

Case in point: the time when Boateng scored against Barça in the Champions League.

Playing for Milan at the time, the former Ghana international received the ball, skilled his way past one player and scored with a superb strike.

Nice little throwback, right?

Barcelona signed Boateng on loan from Sassuolo, with the option to make the deal permanent in the summer for £7.1m.

"It's a big dream come true," he said. "It's a big honour for me to be here."

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde added: "He doesn't seem to need much time to adapt. He knows his stuff and can start playing straight away.

"He's comfortable in many positions, as a central striker or playing off another striker, and even deeper too."

Speaking of Valverde, the Barça boss recently hinted that two of his players could leave the club in January.
