Marco Asensio's year just keeps getting better and better.

The 21-year-old midfielder has recently just lifted La Liga and the Champions League with Real Madrid, scoring in the 4-1 final victory over Juventus at Cardiff's Millennium stadium two weeks ago.

In addition to these phenomenal achievements at club level, the former Mallorca youngster is also enjoying himself at international level, making a big impression for Spain's U21 team against Macedonia, last night.

La Roja's youngsters ran out comfortable 5-0 winners in their opening group game of the 2017 European Championships, with Atletico Madrid's Saul and Everton's Gerard Deulofeu among the goalscorers.

The other three goals were dispatched by star of the show Asensio, however, who upstaged his incredibly talented supporting cast during a productive night in Gdynia.

Asensio opened the scoring with a sublime 30-yard effort in the first half, before adding another two particularly special efforts in the second half, rounding off a world class performance that Real Madrid and Spain fans will be hoping continues into the next season, with La Liga, Champions League and World Cup campaigns on the horizon.
