Big point for the Swans.

Gylfi Sigurðsson scored a wonderful free kick that earned his side a deserved point at Old Trafford and gave them hope to stay in the Premier League.

Manchester United continued their ridiculous unbeaten Premier League run and extended it to 26 but it was yet another disappointing draw for Jose Mourinho's team.

However the Red Devils were lucky to get away with even a point against their bogey side from recent seasons.

United started the match poorly and lost Luke Shaw to injury, adding to their woes in defence, and never really looked like scoring in the first half.

They did go into the break 1-0 up though through a contentious penalty. Wayne Rooney scored from the spot after a dive from Marcus Rashford as half time approached.

The Red Devils barely improved in the second half and Swansea, still in the relegation zone, were desperately unlucky to be behind but with just over 10 minutes to go Rooney gave away a stupid free kick on the edge of the United area.

Up stepped former Spurs midfielder Sigurdsson who placed the ball beautifully and earned his side a point:

It could have been a lot worse for United. Late on in the game Fernando Llorente had a great chance to steal all three points.

There was a further blow to United as Eric Bailly also went off injured leaving the team with very few fit defenders for their Europa League game on Thursday.

The loss of points makes it difficult for them to finish in the top four whilst Swansea are now two points from safety.
