Barcelona youngster Jordi Mboula has scored a sensational solo goal vs Red Bull Salzburg's u19's this afternoon.

In case you've not heard of the prodigious forward, he scored this ridiculous effort against Borussia Dortmund's youth team, earlier this season.

The two teams are facing each other in the semi-finals of this year's UEFA Youth League, a tournament which has ran parallel to the Champions League for the last four years.

And while Barca are often credited for having one of the most prolific youth set-ups in Europe, this is the first time their u19's have made it this far in the competition since winning the inaugural trophy in 2014.

Luckily on this occasion, Mboula turned up to play.

The 18-year-old, who has represented the Spanish national team at youth level, scored a stunning goal to give his side a 1-0 lead in the first-half.
And to make Mboula's strike even more impressive, it appeared to incredibly similar to the goal Lionel Messi scored vs Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final in 2015:

It would obviously be too bold to make any further comparison between the two players, especially given Messi's claim to being the best footballer on the planet and with Mboula's professional career yet to take off.

However, with Luis Enrique set to depart the Nou Camp at the end of the season, a new manager might just give Mboula a chance in the first team.
