Leon Goretzka is one of the most promising young players in world football and the Schalke midfielder further proved that point by casually knocking in an outrageous back heeled goal for Germany against Azerbaijan, tonight.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich, as is customary with every talented young German player who doesn't already play for the Bavarian giants, and tonight he displayed why he's so coveted by the Bundesliga champions.
With just over seven minutes played in the World Champions' qualifying match for next year's tournament in Russia, the ball bounced to Goretzka in the Azerbaijan penalty area following a corner and, without barely a second's thought, with his back to goal, the Schalke youngster slammed an absurd backheel into the top corner without even looking.
The Schalke midfielder had four international goals to his name before tonight's effort, but it's doubtful he'll ever score another as good as this one.
Schalke can probably add another £10-15 million to his price tag, now.
