The Former Premier League Player Banned From FIFA 18

He's not in the game and he's not happy...

Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger has discovered that he is not in FIFA 18 and it's fair to say he's not happy in the slightest.

The 26-year old striker recently returned to action with League One outfit Southend United after spending 10 weeks in prison having been jailed for conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

Ranger, whose football career has been marred by controversy and off the field matters, was released from prison prematurely, with "his consistently excellent custodial behaviour" leading to his eight-month sentence being cut short.

Upon his release from prison, he's been back in football with Southend, making three appearances in the third tier.

But he's not been included in the Shrimpers' squad on FIFA 18, and has taken to Twitter to vent his frustrations - saying that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi wouldn't receive the same treatment.

He posted the following Tweet:

"So two months in custody stops you from being on Fifa. Wonder If I was Cristiano or Messi, would this happen? Hmm?", Ranger wrote.

His Tweet, posted earlier today, has garnered plenty of traction - but the majority of responses to the former England Youth international were very much negative.

Thoughts on Ranger being snubbed?

Sound off in the comments.
