As if Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 wasn't a sound enough return to form for Konami after years struggling in FIFA's shadow, the home of the Master League and some questionably named club teams has received a major upgrade in the form of 4K graphics.
Confirming the news on Twitter this morning, Konami announced that 4K graphics are now supported on PS4 Pro.

The upgrade to 4K means Pro Evo has never been more life like, with an increased frame rate allowing for smoother gameplay and crisper details on player's faces. You'll practically be able to taste the sweat on Diego Costa's forehead.
PES 2017 is powered by FoxEngine, which is the same graphics engine used in Konami's latest Metal Gear Solid games. All we need now is for a crossover to happen between the two legendary gaming franchises in which Solid Snake can be used as a playable character in Pro Evo, stealthily arriving late in the box to bag a series of last minute winners.
