Football Manager Predicts How England's Young Stars' Careers Will Pan Out

Marcus Rashford, Phil Foden, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Trent Alexander Arnold, Reiss Nelson and Josh Onomah are all huge prospects.

England's World Cup last summer made the country excited about international football once again, and believing it could be coming home, but the state of young players available for the Three Lions is the real reason for excitement. Football Manager has predicted their careers.

For as long as many of us can remember the chances of the England team have fallen at the feet of only a couple of people, whether they were already in the team or about to come through and break into it.

The media and the public have been obsessed with the one hero to take us out of the dark times and into the light, mostly just so they could be ripped to pieces when it didn't happen.

Gareth Southgate's new generation is especially exciting because there's so many fantastic players, either already first teamers like Harry Kane or young up and comers like Jadon Sancho and Callum Hudson-Odoi who have already made a breakthrough.

In the past though those with big futures just haven't always managed to manifest themselves into fantastic careers. So what about this current crop?

Planet Football continued their fantastic series where they simulate the future with Football Manager to find out what's in store for six of them.

Trent Alexander Arnold- The Liverpool full back ends up as a one club man and lifts the Premier League title three time. Bad news though Reds, the first one isn't till 2025.

Marcus Rashford- Manchester United's striker ends up on a journey that takes in RB Leipzig, PSG and Valencia with little success, before returning to United to win the Premier League and then retiring in the MLS.

Phil Foden- You might expect Foden to leave Manchester City because he struggles to get into the team but according to Planet Football he gets into the team and then leaves for Villarreal for seemingly no reason. He does okay in Spain but no great shakes.

Reiss Nelson- Nelson returns from Germany to play for Arsenal for until 2025 when he leaves for Chelsea. He never truly lives up to potential but has a solid career, moving to Wolves, Stoke and RB Salzburg.

Callum Hudson-Odoi- The winger will surely miss being loaned out everywhere like many Chelsea youngsters before him. The game though thinks not and he's defined by a bunch of loans and a failed move to Arsenal.

Josh Onomah- The lowest profile of the six, the Spurs midfielder has a middling career and plays in the Premier League with Stoke , Wolves and Everton, as well as Tottenham. Starts a managerial career with Norwich under 23s at least.
