A Manchester City Player Is In The Crowd In FIFA 18

A little easter-egg from EA...

EA Sports are prone to a fair few easter eggs in the FIFA series and the one which we've recently uncovered an absolute cracker.

You will have surely come across it playing FIFA 18 at some point but for whatever reason haven't picked up on.

Basically, Manchester City midfielder Aleix Garcia is in FIFA 18 but not only as a player. The Villarreal youth product, who made nine appearances for Pep Guardiola's side last season and scored in a win over Swansea in the League Cup, is currently on loan at Girona and is in their squad on the game.

Here's what Garcia can do on the game:

A 70-rated central midfielder, he has a potential rating of 82 on the game - but that's not where his involvement ends.

That's because the 20-year old is in fact one of the fans in the crowd during games. Until the other day where I was destroying my mates in our little tournament (although Pilk deserves praise for our 12-goal thriller), I hadn't noticed the Spaniard.

But there he was, in his dark beige polo short, as the camera pans to him and the rest of the fans.

It seems like the explanation would be that instead of taking time to create new game faces, EA decided to use some existing ones for the supporters - with one of the guys (the bald fella next to the bloke in the blue United away shirt in the following picture also looking rather familiar.

But in Garcia, an actually player is in the crowd and you should definitely be on the look-out for him the next time you load up FIFA 18.

Another incredible easter-egg uncovered is that a glitch meant Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, not actually players or icons on FIFA 8, became match officials on the game.

Have you done any detective work on FIFA and found some gems?
