Spurs Fans Troll Their Own Team Over Adele Tweet

The club tweeted Adele to congratulate her but the fans took it as a chance to mock their team.

When we were young things like Tottenham tweeting their congratulations to one of their fans winning Grammy awards would never have happened, mainly because we didn't have Twitter. That's exactly what the club did but with typically amusing consequences.

Tottenham are in the middle of their attempt at turning the tables on rivals Arsenal by finishing above them in the Premier League but hit somewhat of a bump in the road when they lost to Liverpool at the weekend.

Incidentally it's been 21 years since Spurs last finished above their north London neighbours in the Premier League and 21 is the name of the 2011 album by Tottenham fan Adele, how's that for a segway.

Last night London's foul mouthed singing tyrant picked up five Grammy awards to go along with the 10 others she's won previously and Spurs decided to send a tweet congratulating their one and only:

However their fans gave Adele and the club a cold shoulder and decided to respond by trolling themselves instead:
