Mo Salah Gives Brilliant Answer When Questioned About Recent Goal Drought

Mo Salah really put to bed his recent poor form with a third goal in two games by bagging in the Champions League, as Liverpool beat Red Star Belgrade, and had the perfect response to a question about his 'drought'.

Not many players have had a better debut season for a club than Mo Salah. The Liverpool forward joined the Reds with a decent reputation and ended his first season with them after bagging 44 goals.

His incredible run of goals plus the Premier League club's successful time in the Champions League, finishing as runners up to Real Madrid, led to him ousting Lionel Messi in the top three places for the Best FIFA Player award.

The start to this season hasn't been anywhere near as electric for the Egyptian but he did still twice in the opening three games for Jurgen Klopp's side.

He went three games without scoring before adding to his tally and then went on a four game run without bagging to leave some to question his form and if he was merely a one season wonder.

However a goal against Huddersfield at the weekend has been followed up by a brace against Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday night and Salah had the perfect response to a question about his 'drought':

Salah might have had a hat-trick with Liverpool being awarded a second penalty of the night but the former Roma man had already been subbed off at the time.

The fact that Liverpool went on to miss the spot kick didn't make much difference as they still ran out comfortable 4-0 winners to keep their impressive form up.

The win, plus PSG's 2-2 draw with Napoli, keeps the five time Champions League winners top of Group C on six points with the Italians a point behind and the Ligue 1 champions a further point back.

Liverpool next go to Belgrade before travelling to Paris and finally hosting Napoli. They should qualify from this position and may help knockout PSG, one of the pre tournament favourites.

From here there's a good chance Salah goes on a bit of a goal spree, and that's not good for anyone. Unless you're a Liverpool fan of course.
