Pep Guardiola's ambitions of capturing a quadruple with Manchester City were smashed to pieces on Wednesday night when they were knocked out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals.
The reigning Premier League champions won 4-3 at the Etihad Stadium, but Tottenham Hotspur made it to the semi-finals of Europe's top-tier club competition thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Fernando Llorente.
The City manager felt that his side had done it on the night when they found the back of the net late on, only for VAR to rule Sergio Agüero in an offside position.

Unsurprisingly, Guardiola was on cloud nine when he thought his side had scored, but then it all came crashing down on him when VAR sprung into action.
Check out his reaction below.
Unbelievable, right?

Spurs will now play against Ajax, who knocked Juventus out on Tuesday night, in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Liverpool's 4-1 thrashing of Porto in their second-leg quarter-final clash will allow them to advance in the competition to face Barcelona, who knocked Manchester United out at the Camp Nou on Tuesday.
Which teams will make it to the final of the Champions League?
