Neymar Looks Set To Be Out For His Sister's Birthday Again

Neymar Looks Set To Be Out For His Sister's Birthday Again

For five years in a row the PSG forward is almost certain to miss playing the football match closest to his sister's birthday.

It's not been confirmed yet exactly how long Neymar will be out for but the PSG star looks likely to be out of action for his sister's birthday for the fifth year in a row.

It would take a series of unfortunate events akin to the Springfield Power Plant softball team all going down ahead of their big game against Shelbyville for PSG not to win Ligue 1 this season.

The champions currently sit 13 points ahead of Lille in second place with two games in hand against their closest rivals. That makes Neymar's recent injury completely insignificant to their domestic season, as was the case last season.

Where they really do need the former Barcelona forward is in the Champions League, where they face the resurgent Manchester United in the second round.

RMC confirmed yesterday that the Brazilian's injury in the French Cup against Strasbourg next week will keep him out of the first leg on February 12th.

There's no return date for the 26 year old at the moment and he could yet require surgery that would keep him out even longer.

That means that there's a very good chance he misses the second leg against United on March 6th and is then unavailable to play on his sister's birthday for the fifth year in a row.

Rafaella, who the former Barcelona man is extremely close to and even has a huge tattoo of her on his arm, turns 23 on 11th March.

That means that after the United game the Parisians will also take on Nantes and Dijon around he birthday, on the 9th and 13th, and the former Santos man may also be out for those games.

It's quite incredible that he always seems to be missing for her birthday. Seeing how he always plays in leagues with a winter break he doesn't have to pull off the same 'stunt' for Christmas.

We can't wait for next year when he has to miss the game through gigantism, behaving like a chicken or disappearing in weird circumstances.
