Mohamed Salah has taken to Twitter to respond to a little girl who was spotted during Egypt's match against Tunisia in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Twitter user Nadine Meshref posted an image of the girl holding a sign in the 36th minute at the Borg El Arab Stadium, Alexandria, that said the following: "Salah, please score. I want to go home, I have homework."

While the 26-year-old Liverpool forward bagged the winner right towards the end, he wasn't able to fulfil her request much earlier. However, the Egypt international took to Twitter to post a brilliant apology to Meshref's tweet.

"I really tried to let you go home early, and sorry to have kept you here until the last minute," he tweeted. "I hope your teacher tomorrow understands the situation."

Absolute class, Mo!

Salah was the man of the moment for his country when he scored a 90th-minute winner against Tunisia.

After he linked up with Salah Mohsen, the ball came into the path of the Liverpool star and he slotted past Farouk Ben Mustapha with ease.

Salah has been in-form for Egypt during the Africa Cup of Nations qualification stage, which included a moment of magic when he scored directly from a corner.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Cameroon from 15th June to 13th July.

Will Salah be able to inspire Egypt to the final of the tournament?
