Even if he didn't mean it, Davide Zappacosta's screamer in the 6-0 Champions League mauling of Qarabag at Stamford Bridge, the Italian let Victor Moses know that he's got competition for the right wing-back berth under Antonio Conte.

The 25-year old arrived at Chelsea on deadline day for a fee of £23 million, signing a four-year contract with the club.

And the Italian made his mark last night with an excellent performance against Azerbaijan outfit Qarabag. The Italian international marauded down the right flank, taking on the Qarabag defence, before getting himself in position to seemingly cross the ball.

However the cross goes a bit 'wrong' resulting in the ball flying into the net from 30 yards out, and giving Zappacosta, the 100th Italian player to score in the Champions League,a dream debut.

His performance on the whole showed that he's not come to Chelsea to play second fiddle to Moses, who has been in excellent form ever since Antonio Conte took the reins at the club. And Moses' reaction on the bench to the worldie goal was utterly brilliant.

The Nigerian international put his hands over his face, as his colleagues Willy Caballero and David Luiz were in hysterics.

Here's how Twitter reacted to Zappacosta's strike:

Ending the debate on whether it was a cross or shot, as quoted by Metro, Conte said the following in his post-match presser:

"He told me he was aiming to cross!. He played a really good game, now he has to continue to improve."
