Samson has lost his hair and now we can only assume his powers have gone with it! Samson in this case not being a biblical character but Manchester United's Marouane Fellaini.
Just days after the shock of being so abysmal in the Manchester derby that not even the most ardent United supporter could find a positive fans have been left shocked again, by Marouane Fellaini's haircut.
I'm not sure it's too far to suggest the big Belgian midfielder is best known at Old Trafford for his massive hair, because trying to pick the bones of his performances for the former Premier League winners is too complicated.
But now the afro has gone. The former Everton man, who followed David Moyes from Goodison Park to Old Trafford in 2013, has posted on Instagram to reveal the extreme chop.
Alongside the picture he posted the caption, "New year, new look #birthdaytomorrow," although weirdly everyone seems to think his birthday is November 22nd, so he might have arrived at his birthday a tad early:
There's something a little weird seeing Fellaini without his patented 'fro' and you can't help but wonder if he's going to be able to win as many headers without anything to cushion the ball for him.
Fellaini has been very smart getting his haircut during the international break though as Graeme Souness is unlikely to jump straight in a chair to criticise him for daring to have a haircut and, get this, posting it on social media.
To be honest we still aren't completely sure how to process all of this. Fellaini on the pitch without his hair is just odd.
