The former Liverpool striker scored a famous hat-trick against Norwich and the newly promoted side really didn't want reminding of it.

Norwich City confirmed their promotion back to the Premier League after three seasons away from the top tier but Liverpool still managed to dampen their spirits after posting a throwback video.

On Saturday evening Norwich City won 2-1 against Blackburn Rovers to confirm their promotion back to the Premier League, something that no one expected at the beginning of the season.

Daniel Farke has worked wonders with the Canaries, especially after they won just one of their opening six games of the Championship season, against Preston North End, and losing to promotion rivals Sheffield United and Leeds United in that run.

Now it looks like Norwich will end up being promoted as champions, only needing a point on the last day of the season against Aston Villa to do so.

No matter what happens though the win against Blackburn has given them plenty of reason to celebrate but it wasn't long till they were sent crashing back down from Cloud Nine.

Just 12 hours after confirming promotion Liverpool tweeted a video of Luis Suarez incredible hat-trick against the East Anglia side from seven years ago, when Norwich finished 12th in the top tier:

Unsurprisingly Norwich just wanted to be left to celebrate, rather than think about what could be to come next season:

Suarez's goals in that game the Reds a 3-0 win against Norwich at Carrow Road but they're far from his only goals against the Canaries.

The Barca forward scored 12 times in just six games against them when they were last in the Premier League.

Fortunately next season they won't have to face the Uruguayan as he now plys his trade in Spain but Liverpool will have to come up against their former striker this week.

The Reds travel to Barcelona to take on the Catalan giants in the semi final of the Champions League just days after they defended their Spanish title.
