Yesterday afternoon will go down as the most unforgettable of Jamie Vardy's career. Leicester City got their hands on the Premier League trophy and put the icing on the cake with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Everton at the King Power stadium, with the England striker finding the net twice. However, the day could have been that little bit sweeter had Vardy not horrendously ballooned a penalty over the crossbar.
The penalty, Vardy's second of the day, provided the Leicester forward with a chance to complete his hat-trick, but rather than burying the opportunity from 12 yards, Vardy sent his effort skywards.
Rather than dwell on a missed hat-trick opportunity however, Vardy decided that poking fun at himself on social media was a better idea. While still finding enough characters to remind Robert Huth of his disastrous attempt at a free-kick.
We imagine Vardy and his teammates will be clutching onto bottles of Lucozade for most of today after another heavy night for the new Premier League champions.
