Belgium Confuse WWE Star Shinsuke Nakamura With Footballer Shinji Kagawa

The gaffe happened ahead of Belgium's meeting with Japan in the second round of the World Cup on Monday evening.

One former Japanese footballer has a very similar name to a certain WWE superstar from the same country however getting Shinsuke Nakamura mixed up with Shinji Kagawa is a hugely stupid fail.

On Monday night England will sit in their hotel and watch Belgium vs Japan in the second round of the World Cup, potentially wondering what might have been should the Belgians go through easily.

Belgium certainly deserve to be in the last 16 having won all three of their group games, including the dead rubber against England where both sides rested most of their first team, but Japan are a little lucky to be there.

The Asians final group game was against Poland and they made several changes and played defensively, not even trying to get back into the game after they went behind, and merely hoped Colombia would beat Senegal and they wouldn't get many yellow cards- and it worked.

One man who definitely would get a lot of yellow cards if he were a footballer is WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura, the king of strong style is well known for kicking people in the head and forearming them in the bollocks, in fact he'd probably get sent off.

Nakamura though is not a footballer, obviously. But Belgium didn't realise that when their Twitter account tagged the wrestler instead of Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa:

Clearly Nakamura was also looking forward to the meeting with former Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj, although let's hope Vince McMahon knows about it:

Of course if the person running the Red Devils social media had got the 'king of strong style,' definitely a good nickname for Romelu Lukaku, with former Celtic player Shunsuke Nakamura then it would have been much more reasonable.

Hopefully next time they'll realise not to make that mistake because obviously wrestling isn't real or a sport...
