It's no wonder that Cristiano Ronaldo left Spain for Italy, he was probably fed up with the Lionel Messi comparisons. The Barcelona star apparently can't get away from being compared to a Real Madrid forward though.
There's very few players in the world, probably ever, who can be compared to Lionel Messi. It's very possible that he's the best footballer to have ever existed.
Of course the problem for La Liga's top goalscorer in history is that living and playing at the same time is another man who may think he can lay claim to title of world's best ever player in Cristiano Ronaldo.
That has inevitably led to the two men being compared to each other at every possible step of the way, especially as they both played in Spain for the county's two biggest sides Barcelona and Real Madrid.

In the summer Ronaldo moved to Italy to play for Juventus and though the comparisons will never go away completely they've calmed down generally but now Messi has a new foe to deal with apparently.
As per SPORT, speaking after Barcelona's win over Eibar at the weekend Jordi Alba was informed that people in Madrid are comparing young star Vinicius Junior with Messi. Asked about it Alba simply replied 'Good night,' before walking out of the 'mixed zone.'
Vinicius Junior is an excellent young prospect and agreed to join Real from Flamengo in May 2017, costing the European team €46 million.

This season the Brazilian has only started two games for Real in La Liga and made a further six appearances from the bench in the league, scoring once.
Messi on the other hand has 17 goals in 17 appearances and became the first man to score 400 La Liga goals on Sunday.
Sure the comparison might be one that he could be as good as Messi in the future but you've got to be careful when saying anyone could be as good as the five time Ballon d'Or winner.
Alba, whose contract is up in 2020, was also asked about a renewal and said, "Everything is still the same with my renewal. I have one year left on my deal. I don't know what the club think or what they want to do.

"At the end of the day, it's their decision. But I am relaxed. They have to decide if they want me to renew or not. My desire is to stay here for many years."
Hopefully he doesn't have to answer anymore stupid questions about Messi or he might just decide a new contract isn't worth it.
