Chile Coach Voted For One Player And One Player Only
And the winner for best 'The Best' ballot goes to... Juan Antonio Pizzi!
FIFA's inaugural 'Best FIFA Football Awards 2016' concluded earlier as the swanky gala from Zurich, Switzerland, is officially in the books.
Footballing royalty from past and present graced the red carpet event handing out a host of awards.
Not to mention the main gong of the ceremony; 'The Best' Men's Player of 2016.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the red-hot favourite to land the coveted prize, and the Real Madrid and Portugal star rightfully claimed the award following a trophy-laden 2016.
But it's the Chile coach's ballot which is the talk of the town with details emerging of his 'short' shortlist. Pizzi brilliantly didn't bother with a second or third place vote as he voted for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.
So, Pizzi names just Sánchez on his ballot for Best Men's Player while neglecting to name fellow Chile star Arturo Vidal in either his second or third spot. Interesting.
