It's common knowledge that most football players these days love a nice game of FIFA to chill out when they're not on the pitch.

One exception is Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, who has revealed that he much prefers playing board games to playing FIFA.

The Frenchman admitted that he is not crazy on modern technology and is a big fan of the game scrabble.

He shared his true passions during an interview with French paper L'Equipe.

He said:

My younger team-mates are more tech-savvy than me. I don't tweet and they must think I'm like a grandad. But I love playing Scrabble.

"I began with my stepdad and brothers. I'm pretty good now, it relaxes me. I'm competitive and I like to win and try and improve."

Koscielny revealed that a number of the France squad for Euro 2016 spent their time away from the pitch playing a few board games.

"It is like cards or board games. During the Euros, we played a fair amount with [Christophe] Jallet, [Benoit] Costil, [Andre-Pierre] Gignac, [Olivier] Giroud and [Hugo] Loris. These are friendly times, we laugh, we are together, instead of playing FIFA."

We reckon he's a massive fan of 'Don't Wake Dad' and Monopoly.
