Oscar Kicks Off Huge Scuffle In Shanghai SIPG Match

The former Chelsea man was at the heart of a tussle between players and coaching staff of both sides.

To be honest I spend so long writing about transfers to China without seeing any action that I'd completely forgotten that any football actually gets played. And apparently players get just as annoyed with their opposition as Oscar's actions showed.

There can't be many of us who have taken much notice of the Chinese Super League away from the ludicrous amounts of money that they're offering to players and the rumours of who is next to go out there.

But of course there's still football to be played, after all that's why Ezequiel Lavezzi and Carlos Tevez have become two of the best paid players on the planet despite the fact they're relatively average.

Another player who has gone over to play in China is Chelsea's Oscar who left midway through last season for £60 million to Shanghai SIPG and we hadn't really heard much of him since.

That's all changed today though. The Brazilian was playing against Guangzhou R&F in the CSL and hit the ball at two of his opponents in quick succession at the beginning of the first half.

It looked pretty innocuous really but the Guangzhou players weren't happy and shoved Oscar to the ground. That kicked off a big scuffle between players and staff from both sides:

The whole incident happened just minutes after Shanghai had equalised to make it 1-1. Oscar was involved in the goal as well, setting up fellow Brazilian Hulk to cancel out Israeli Eran Zahavi's opener after half an hour.

Each team had a man sent for an early bath following the incident. Li Tixiang saw red for Guangzhou whilst Shanghai saw Fu Huan given his marching orders.

The draw left Oscar's side second in the table, four points adrift of the other team from Guangzhou, Guangzhou Evergrande, the team that Paulinho plays for.

It seems like Oscar has been up to far more than we could have ever imagined.

With drama like the match today it might be start watching, or I'll just carry on writing about who is going there!
