'Mohamed Salah Is Willing To Cheat Just Like Cristiano Ronaldo'

The Liverpool forward has come in for criticism for hitting the floor too easily and it happened again against Crystal Palace.

Mohamed Salah was once again in the headlines on Saturday for both the right and wrong reasons and now his diving is becoming such a problem he's being compared to the 'cheating' of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Believe it or not life can sometimes be a lot like WWE. Not because people will occasionally run in to your office and hit you with a chair but because of how quickly you can go from the good guy to the bad guy.

There was a time last year when Mo Salah was one of the most universally loved men in the Premier League, apart from when he was playing against your team of course.

With his goalscoring, trips out into Liverpool to meet people, smiley demeanor and of course his run in with ultimate 'heel' Sergio Ramos the former Chelsea winger was just easy to cheer.

This season though that's rather changed with his antics in the box and ever growing reputation for diving. Something he once again did on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

Writing in his Times column on Monday morning, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino compared Salah's cheating to that of Cristiano Ronaldo, saying:

"He has crossed the line when it comes to his diving. There have been a few contentious incidents with Salah winning penalties this season but on Saturday, in Liverpool's win against Palace, he blatantly dived in the penalty area.

" It seems as though there is an added ruthlessness in his game, which is why he is crossing into doing whatever it takes to win games.

"Perhaps it stems from the pressure that Liverpool players potentially feel in terms of winning a trophy this season and if so, Salah certainly won't be the first star name willing to cheat to gain an advantage. Cristiano Ronaldo's willingness to go to ground easily in the area only increased as his career progressed."

Cascarino says that Liverpool fans 'won't care' and as long as Salah continues not to get banned and their team continue to win he's probably right.

The 26 year old remains one of Jurgen Klopp's best players and he scored a brace as the Reds just managed to get past Palace in a back and forth 4-3 win on Saturday.

Becoming the heel, throwing himself onto the ground when he hasn't been touched, just look out for Mo Salah powerbombing someone through a table.
