The FA Cup final is a huge event in the UK football calendar, so huge in fact that you'd be very lucky to get just one ticket to attend at Wembley Stadium, let alone enough for your whole family and friends. But thanks to EE, two sets of fans got to experience the closest thing you can get to the famous Wembley Stadium atmosphere without actually being there.

Two groups of family and friends, one avid Chelsea supporters and one die hard Manchester United fans, were given the chance of a lifetime to be broadcast live by on the big screens all over Wembley in a chance to win signed shirts.

The families had their homes decked out in Manchester United and Chelsea gear, and were joined by the Cheeky Sport Boys, who were filming the whole thing live on Instagram Stories. Before the match kicked off, EE connected their homes via a live feed to the big screens at Wembley, giving them the closest thing possible to being at the home of football without having to buy a ticket.

To win some signed shirts, the two families had to break the noise-o-meter at the stadium, with the help of the Wembley crowd. The two families both had their chance to break the meter, and showing the raw passion of true football fans they easily managed it, meaning they both won shirts signed by their favourite teams. The fun continued, with the families even being live-streamed to the Wembley crowd during the match and at half-time.

Although the noise-o-meter competition ended with both teams taking home a prize, there must be a winner in the real thing, and the FA Cup final was extremely fiercely contested on the pitch. Even though Manchester United dominated the game from pretty much start to finish, a 22nd minute penalty from Chelsea's star player Eden Hazard was all the West London club needed to cling on for a victory and raise English football's oldest cup.

Of course both families were watching on in their living rooms, connected to Wembley in the closest way possible. It was 90 minutes of heartbreak for the Manchester United supporting family and 90 minutes of joy, albeit extremely nervous joy, for the Chelsea supporting family, but either way it was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience for both of them to be broadcast live in front of thousands of fans at Wembley Stadium, and to hear the world famous Wembley crowd react to them as they cheered on from their sofas.

And even though the Manchester United supporting family didn't see their team lift the trophy, at least they got to keep their signed shirts to commemorate what was an incredible day for both families, courtesy of EE.
