"You've come a long way for that.." - Ange Postecoglou blasts journalist in response to Harry Kane jibe

The Spurs boss was thoroughly unimpressed with a German journalist at his most recent press conference

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou was left thoroughly unimpressed after a German reporter decided to bring a Harry Kane Bayern Munich jersey to the press conference.

The England international has been linked with a move to the reigning German champions in recent weeks, with Spurs chief Daniel Levy adamant on getting the best deal possible for Kane.

Bayern's interest in Kane has already seen them send two offers to Spurs, both getting rejected by the club as the wait for a conclusion on this saga drags on.

Kane is entering the final year of his five-year deal that he signed back in 2018, and a move away from Spurs seems to be likely for the 29-year-old.

Postecoglou addressed the media in Bangkok ahead of Spurs' friendly against Leicester City at the Rajamangala stadium, where a German reporter turned up with a 'Harry Kane 9' Bayern Munich jersey.

Clearly unimpressed at the gesture, Postecoglou let his feelings known toward the journalist during the press conference.

"Did you get a good laugh there? You've come a long way for that. Thank you," said the Spurs boss.

With two offers already rejected, Bayern are reportedly preparing a third bid for Kane's services, with no other club in the race for him as such.

Manchester United's interest in Kane seems to have cooled off in recent weeks, with Erik Ten Hag and co. looking at Atalanta's young starlet Rasmus Hojlund instead.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly looking to offer a swap-deal plus money for Kane's services, however, that looks unlikely now with Xavi Simons having gone to RB Leipzig.

As it stands, Bayern remain the only side with a credible interest to sign Kane this summer.

Spurs boss Postecoglou is wary of the saga dragging on and has said it isn't good for the club or Kane at the moment.

It remains to be seen whether Kane chooses to see out his contract under the Australian or if he seals a seemingly eventual exit.
