Ange Postecoglou snapped at reporter after being asked if he watched this week's Champions League matches

Ange Postecoglou gave a spiky answer to the Champions League question.

Ange Postecoglou jokingly snapped at a reporter over a question about the Champions League during his pre-match press conference.

Tottenham find themselves in fifth place in the table having suffered a bruising 2-1 defeat to West Ham United last week.

It was their fourth league defeat of the season following a superb spell in the league, where Postecoglou won three Manager of the Month awards in a row.

The North London outfit will look to get back to winning ways when they travel to Nottingham Forest on Friday.

Spurs' game against Forest comes after a round of Champions League fixtures, where Manchester United and Newcastle United crashed out of the competition.

Arsenal and Manchester City, however, booked their places in the next round of the competition after topping their respective groups.

Asked whether Postecoglou had watched the European festivities this week, he replied with a spiky answer. Check it out below:

"What do you reckon, mate?!" He said with a smirk, before adding: "Do you reckon I would have just...'let's see what's on the tele tonight... Champions League... yeah I might have a look at it'."

He ended: "I do follow the football a fair bit."

Spurs were in last season's Champions League campaign but missed out on a spot this time around following their eighth placed finish last season.

Postecoglou's team currently occupy fifth place - which could end up being a Champions League spot.

They have 30 points on the board and are three points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.

The Australian gaffer prepares his side for Forest without a slew of key players.

On managing the injuries, he added: "It's still a challenge, not just in games, but in training as well. It’s a little different now [to the start of the season].

"It was good to get Pape [Matar Sarr] and Richarlison back last week and it freshened the team. I guess it's where we are going to be for the foreseeable."
