Robert Lewandowski snubs Harry Kane when naming the two best players in Europe right now

Robert Lewandowski has named his two best players in the world.

Robert Lewandowski has snubbed Harry Kane as he named the two best players in the world right now.

Kane swapped Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich last summer in a deal worth a reported fee of £86.4 million.

Since then, the England captain has been scoring goals left, right and centre as he settled into life in Germany very quickly.

However, despite 35 goals and 10 assists in 31 appearances in the Bundesliga, Kane wasn’t able to help Bayern win the title as Bayer Leverkusen secured glory.

Speaking recently with BILD, former Bayern man Lewandowski snubbed Kane when he was asked to name the best player in world football.

The Barcelona striker said: “It’s difficult to say because we still have the Euros to play and the decisive matches in the Champions League. But at this moment, Mbappe and Bellingham are the most outstanding players in the world.”

When asked about setting new records and being compared with Bayern legends like Lewandowski and Gerd Muller, Kane said: “To be compared with them names is a great thing, especially in the first season, so it means I’m doing something right.

“You know what I’m like, I like to take things in my stride. It’s strange, after playing in the Premier League and England, just to be in a different country – obviously I don’t know the language, thankfully a lot of people speak English.”

He continued: “It’s not easy and it takes a bit of getting used to. I’m just trying to take it day by day and slowly learn their ways, the way they do things. Even this [today] is unique. We didn’t have this before [in England] so it’s quite fun.”

Kane and Bayern are back in action on Tuesday as they take on Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League.
