Ravel Morrison makes feelings clear on Mason Greenwood returning to Man United in social media message

Ravel Morrison sends message to Manchester United as he reacts to Mason Greenwood's showing against Atletico Madrid.

Ravel Morrison has told Manchester United what to do over Mason Greenwood following his performance for Getafe against Atletico Madrid.

Greenwood helped Getafe earn a hard-fought point against Atletico as his side came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 on Tuesday.

While the Man United loanee failed to get on the score-sheet, he pulled the strings in the attacking third as the Spanish side scored two late goals to bag a point at the Metropolitano Stadium.

Greenwood, though, has five goals to his name since joining the La Liga team on loan from the Red Devils.

Getafe president Angel Corres has already confirmed they are 'considering buying' the 22-year-old after being impressed by his performances.

Real Sociedad, Valencia and Barcelona are also thought to be keeping tabs on him ahead of making a potential move next summer.

But, according to Morrison, Man United should bring him back.

The 30-year-old, who graduated from Man United's famed youth academy, praised Greenwood's La Liga outing and told his old side that they need to bring him back.

Reacting to a Greenwood compilation on X, Morrison said: "What a player. United need to bring him back!!"

The former Derby County and West Ham United midfielder wasn't the only footballer who was left impressed by Greenwood's performance as Antoine Griezmann, who scored a brace in Tuesday's game, said Atletico couldn't stop him.

"Mason Greenwood was really causing us problems in the second half, we couldn’t stop him and it cost us the game," he said.

Getafe manager Jose Bordalas also hailed Greenwood's outing against Atletico, adding: "I said it from day one, he is a fantastic player and he would reach his best level little by little, we have treated him really well.

"The whole team played a great game."

Greenwood won't be in action for Getafe until the new year as the league pauses for the winter break.
