Man Utd fans excited after spotting who was in training ahead of Bournemouth clash

Manchester United are looking to build on their draw with title-chasing Liverpool against Bournemouth.

Manchester United are getting excited after spotting who was in training ahead of their Premier League match against Bournemouth.

Over the weekend, United showed great spirit and were helped by a very wasteful Liverpool side as they drew 2-2 at Old Trafford.

As a result, Erik ten Hag’s men managed to dent their fierce rival’s Premier League title charge.

Now, the Red Devils will be hoping to back up their draw with Liverpool with a victory against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening.

Ahead of the match, 16-year-old starlet Shea Lacey was spotting training with the senior squad.

Lacey has been impressing in the younger age groups and could be in line to be the next young star to be given an opportunity in the first team.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “ETH is doing wonders with our academy.”

Another tweeted: “The premier league isn’t ready.”

A third fan added: “Our future foden.”

Someone else wrote: “Another one! Shea Lacey was spotted in first-team training. Ten Hag gets it.”

A fifth commented: “You thought we were done promoting wonderkids? Meet Shea Lacey. Remember the name.”

This season, United have already promoted the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Willy Kambwala to the first team.

Both players started and impressed during the draw with Liverpool, with Mainoo scoring an absolute beauty to give his side the lead in the second half.

Speaking about the influence of experienced midfielder Casemiro, Mainoo said: “I think just to scan even more because I feel like he sees things before everyone else does.

“And, playing with him, sometimes he might give you the ball and you’re not expecting it.”

He added: “So I think it’s having to just be knowing what he’s thinking and always scanning so, whatever he thinks is happening next, I can try to be as quick and to be clued up as to what he’s thinking to do next. So I can try to get in the right positions and stuff and be around him.”
