Trent Alexander-Arnold stunned his Liverpool teammates with an incredible basketball trick shot.

During a recent photo shoot, the Reds full-back ambitiously attempted to volley the ball into the basketball hoop with his weaker left foot, and executed the trick shot perfectly.

Thiago Alcantara, who was stood next to him at the time, could only look at the Englishman in shock, while Curtis Jones leapt out of his seat before hilariously running around the room in excitement.

Fans rushed to social media to comment on the video, with one supporter tweeting: "I have convinced myself that Trent is not human."

"First that crossbar with England and now this. My man is deadly with his accuracy," another added.

"It's just Trent being Trent," a third chimed in.

"With his left foot lmao," a fourth exclaimed.

Captain Virgil van Dijk also looked just as comfortable with a ball in his hands as he does with it as his feet, scoring two baskets twice in a row.

Alexander-Arnold has been sidelined for Liverpool's last three wins against Wolves, LASK and West Ham due to a muscle injury.

However, assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders offered an encouraging update on the 24-year-old's recovery. “Trent trained yesterday with us but it was just in the rondo and the ball possession with the counter-pressing, but he was outstanding," he told the Liverpool website.

“You see him instantly, of course. He is with the team training, I am not sure if he will be ready, we will see today."
