Five things that ‘will’ happen if Kylian Mbappe signs for Al Hilal

Five things that ‘will’ happen if Kylian Mbappe signs for Al Hilal

Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move away from Paris Saint Germain

This week, Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a sensational move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

After weeks if intense speculation, the future of Mbappe was plunged into darkness after PSG left the 24-year-old out of their squad for their pre-season tour of Japan.

On Monday, it was widely reported that Saudi Professional League side Al Hilal have made a huge €300 million bid for Mbappe.

It is believed that the Frenchman could earn as much as €700 million for a one-year stay in Saudi Arabia.

Should Mbappe decide to go to the Middle East, here are five things that could happen.

Mbappe’s move will hamper Manchester United

After Mbappe left PSG, the French club will have to replace him and will target either Harry Kane or Rasmus Hojlund.

Both have been linked with United as they search for a new striker and their transfer plan could be hampered by PSG taking away one of their top two targets.

Cristiano Ronaldo passes the torch

Ronaldo became the first big name to move to Saudi Arabia back in January by signing for Al Nassr.

Mbappe’s arrival into the Saudi Professional League will mean the pair will play against each other and could lead to Ronaldo passing the GOAT torch to Mbappe.

Newcastle United loan move in January

After half a season in Saudi Arabia, Mbappe could be bored of Saudi football and fancies getting back to the Champions League, making Newcastle the most likely destination due to their Saudi owners.

A move to the Magpies will also allow Mbappe to try Premier League football.

PSG fail to win the Champions League

After losing their most prized asset, PSG’s European woes are set to continue as they again fail to win the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has spent his season playing in a league which is not as high in quality as some of Europe’s best. Which will have an impact on his performance with France as they fail to win Euro 2024.

Real Madrid move in 2024

After spending one season with Al Hilal, Mbappe is again a free agent as his contract with the Saudi club expires.

Spanish La Lisa giants Madrid will come calling once again and Mbappe will finally realise his dream of playing for Los Blancos.
