Jobe Bellingham could follow in Jude's footsteps and make overseas transfer to Champions League club

Jobe Bellingham could follow in Jude's footsteps and make overseas transfer to Champions League club

Could Jobe Bellingham get a big move to Europe?

Jobe Bellingham could reportedly follow in his brother, Jude’s footsteps and move to a Champions League club.

20-year-old Jude left Birmingham City back in 2020 as he joined Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

During his time with the German club, Jude developed into one of the most sought-after players in world football.

Last summer, the Englishman was linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Eventually, Jude signed for La Liga giants Madrid in a deal worth a reported €103 million.

Since signing for Los Blancos, he has moved up another level, becoming an integral part of Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Now, it has been reported that Jude’s younger brother, Jobe could move to a Champions League side.

According to Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, Serie A side Lazio are keeping tabs on Jobe and could be making a move for the 18-year-old.

However, it is believed that the Italian club will face tough competition from Premier League side Newcastle and Jude’s team, Madrid.

Aside from Jobe, it has been claimed that Lazio are also interested in his Sunderland teammate, Jack Clarke.

The report claimed that Lazio ‘will attempt the double assault’ for both Bellingham and Clarke.

Speaking about Jobe’s recent performance, Sunderland boss Michael Beale said: “There's been a need for him to play. When I first came in, it was a crazy ten days where we probably only trained three times, even then in adverse weather and the same players had to play the games at that stage.

“This week we feel we've had a slightly stronger squad and we could give him a break. The plan was, could he come on with 30 minutes and really impact the game with lots of energy?”

He added: “Not just him, him and Chris Rigg really came on and pinned their two midfielders back which freed up Dan Neil, who had a particularly eye-catching second-half didn't he?

“I think the goal changes everyone's perception as well, because if you take the goal away Jobe has just come on and had a positive impact in the game.”
