Fans convinced Harry Kane is cursed after shocking miss in Bayern Munich defeat to Borussia Dortmund

Fans convinced Harry Kane is cursed after shocking miss in Bayern Munich defeat to Borussia Dortmund

Harry Kane and Bayern Munich were beaten 2-0 by Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening.

Fans are convinced that Harry Kane is cursed after his shocking miss during Bayern Munich’s defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

On Saturday, Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen extended their lead at the top of the table to 13 points after a dramatic late win over Hoffenheim.

Thomas Tuchel’s men were hoping to cut the gap to 10 points with a win against Dortmund at the Allianz Arena.

However, goals from Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson sealed a 2-0 win for Dortmund.

During the match, with the score at 1-0, Kane missed a huge chance to draw level.

The ball was whipped into the penalty from the right-hand side for Kane, who was unmarked inside the area.

However, despite getting his head to the ball, the England captain failed to score, sending his header wide of the goal.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Kane curse is real.”

Another commented: “You can take the man out of Spurs but you can’t take the Spurs out of the man.”

A third fan added: “Harry Kane must be the recipient of a curse to score numerous goals but never win anything. If he joined Celtic Hubs would win the Scottish Treble…”

Someone else wrote: “Harry Kane left Spurs to win a league title at Bayern, he took the curse with him.”

A fifth tweeted: “Lmao Kane is a curse, when was the last time Bayern even lost to BVB at home.”

Speaking after the match, Bayern star Joshua Kimmich said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano: “I wonder how we can put in such a performance in a game like this.

“It's completely inexplicable to me, it was like a friendly game in the second half.”

He added: “We players should go home and question ourselves.”

Meanwhile, Bayern boss Tuchel has claimed that the race for the Bundesliga title is now over.

He said: “Congratulations to Bayer Leverkusen. The title race is over.”
