Harry Kane has already made feelings clear on facing Arsenal in Champions League with Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has already spoken about the prospect of taking on Arsenal in the Champions League.

Harry Kane has already spoken about the prospect of taking on Arsenal in the Champions League.

On Friday the Gunners were drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, with the tie set to mark the first time Harry Kane will play in north London since securing a summer move from Tottenham to the Bavarian giants.

Of course, Kane played against Arsenal on 19 occasions before his transfer, winning seven of those encounters and losing five. Moreover, the England skipper has claimed 14 goals and three assists against the club.

Indeed, Kane has always performed well against Tottenham’s north London rivals, while he has claimed in the past he has a “chip on his shoulder” about being rejected by the Gunners as a youngster.

Speaking to Sky Sports in 2018, Kane said: "I remember the first time we played against Arsenal [for Tottenham's academy] and even back then, I had a chip on my shoulder.

"It might sound ridiculous. I was only eight when they let me go, but every time we played them, I thought: 'Alright, we'll see who's right and who's wrong'.

"Looking back on it now, [being released by Arsenal] was probably the best thing that ever happened to me because it gave me a drive that wasn't there before."

The winner of Arsenal versus Bayern will take on the victor of Real Madrid and Manchester City’s encounter in the semi-final.

Elsewhere, Barcelona will take on Paris Saint-Germain while Borussia Dortmund will go up against Atletico Madrid in the other quarter-final ties.

The first legs of the quarter-finals will be played on April 9 and 10, with the reverse fixtures on April 16 and 17.

Meanwhile, the semi-finals will be on April 30 and May 1, with the second leg ties scheduled for May 7 and 8.

The final will be at Wembley on June 1.
