Endrick paid a classy tribute to England legend Sir Bobby Charlton after he became the youngest player to score for Brazil since Ronaldo Nazario in 1994.

At the age of 17 years and 246 days old, the highly-rated striker made an instant impact after replacing soon-to-be Real Madrid teammate Rodrygo in the 71st minute.

His connection with Vinicius Jr, another Los Blancos player, was clear to see throughout his cameo appearance.

And with ten minutes remaining of Saturday's friendly against the Three Lions, he showed great instinct and awareness when Jordan Pickford parried into his path.

Endrick tapped in from close range to make history – a moment that clearly meant a lot to the young Brazilian, who will join Real Madrid this summer in a deal worth around £52 million.

As well as his talent on the pitch, Endrick has impressed many with his maturity off it. Last year, he explained why he is learning English, Spanish and sign language.

"It's an idea that I always had," he told Os Donos da Bola when asked about learning sign language.

"I like to communicate with everyone who likes me. I know that there are people who couldn't talk to me so I could at least make the effort."

He added: "My mother raised me as a man of respect and I have to value that. I must try to do things to improve as a person."

And on Saturday night, the teenager impressed again when he opened up on his admiration for the legendary Sir Bobby Charlton, who sadly passed away last year.

"A guy who is an idol here is also Bobby Charlton, playing in the stadium that Bobby played, scoring on the day Ronaldo debuted. These are very important memories for me," he told reporters after the game.

Endrick added: "I played for the national team in career mode [on EA FC 24]. And I played the first game here at Wembley and I also scored the goal. This came into my head, I was just thinking about it."

The forward also spoke about scoring his first goal for Brazil. "I was just thinking about that (the goal)," he said. "I couldn’t think about the game anymore, it even hurt me a little. It’s a unique memory.

"My family is here, my girlfriend, my managers. I’m not much of a crier, I’m holding back, but it’s something unique and I’m very happy."

The future is bright, both on and off the pitch, for this young talent.
