Silva will leave Chelsea as a free agent at the end of the season.

Thiago Silva's wife, Isabelle da Silva, once posted a restaurant bill to give a small glimpse into how much footballers spend after a match.

The Brazil icon has announced he will leave Chelsea at the end of the season, following a four-year spell at Stamford Bridge.

In that time, Silva won the Champions League title in 2021, as well as that year's UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.

In an emotional leaving statement, the 39-year-old told the club's official website: "Chelsea means a lot to me. I came here with the intention of only staying for a year, and it ended up being four years.

"Not just for me but for my family, too. My sons play for Chelsea, so it's a source of great pride to be a part of the Chelsea family - literally because my sons are here.

"I hope they can continue their careers here at this victorious club that many players wish to be part of."

Although it has been another challenging season for Chelsea, the Blues still have a chance of European qualification with three games left to play.

They also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they lost to Manchester City.

On the route to the last four, Chelsea defeated Championship side Preston North End 4-0 in the third round at Stamford Bridge in January.

Silva was one of four second half goalscorers for Mauricio Pochettino's side, with goals from Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling and Enzo Fernandez sealing a comfortable victory.

After the match, Silva's wife Isabelle took to Instagram to post a picture of their restaurant bill as they celebrated victory, captioning the post: "A simple family dinner."

The Brazilian and his family dined at the upscale Novikov restaurant in London, racking up a total bill of £900.30.

Among the costliest dishes that were ordered included a king crab leg (£95) and a paking duck (£85).

Silva is being linked with a move back to Brazil with Fluminense this summer, but Fabrizio Romano claims that the defender is currently keeping his options open.
