1. Sir Alex Ferguson

Both men had agreed on their 10 prior to the rankings and it was just a case of placing them.

Their top fives are the same with current Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho ranking fourth and third respectively.

Arsene Wenger is second to Sir Alex due to his longevity at Arsenal as well as the way he transformed the English game upon his arrival.

Many are likely shocked that Mourinho is ahead of Guardiola but it cannot be denied the Portuguese native changed English football when he arrived in 2004.

He won back to back Premier League titles with Chelsea, only conceding 15 goals in the 2004/2005 season.

He returned for a second spell with The Blues in 2013 and won another league title in 2015.

Although his time at Manchester United didn't pan out and his start to life at Spurs has been shaky, it's hard to deny his success.

Guardiola, meanwhile, manages to come ahead of current rival Jurgen Klopp who finds himself in sixth place.

Claudio Ranieri cracks the top 10 thanks to his unlikely title win with Leicester City in 2016.

The Italian captured the hearts of football fans all around the world with his press conferences and overall class on the touchline.
