Thibaut Courtois has made the move to Real Madrid, while Kepa Arrizabalaga has signed from Athletic Bilbao for £71 million, a record amount for a goalkeeper.

Courtois spent six seasons at Chelsea, three of which he was playing at Stamford Bridge as their number one goalkeeper. During this period the Belgium international won two Premier League titles, an F.A Cup and a League Cup. It's fair to say he was a successful goalkeeper during his time at west London.

But the goalie's attitude this summer window has been troublesome. For the past two days he reportedly refused to turn up to training, as suggestions that he would be making the move to Madrid grew and grew. Last night it was announced that he had indeed agreed to join the reigning Champions League champions.

And so Courtois did what every player does after serving a club for so long, he took to social media to post a goodbye message.

In it, the 26-year-old says that: "I hope you understand that being closer to my kids was considerable in my decision."

But this message did not go down well with Blues fans, who felt that Courtois angling for a move away was in poor taste.

Even replies to Real's announcement tweet have been plagued by angry Chelsea fans.

Arrizabalaga has some very big shoes to fill - but can he do it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
