Rio Ferdinand Names The Best Striker In The Premier League

Rio Ferdinand has given his choice as to who is the greatest Premier League striker right now - and it's a surprising decision given how on fire a certain England centre-forward was at the World Cup.

The Manchester United defender was on pundit duty as Manchester United ran out 2-0 winners over Chelsea to lift the Community Shield, and he gave a very honest opinion about who is the best striker in the English league right now.

Despite a breathtaking World Cup, Ferdinand chose Sergio Aguero as the top striker, even more so that Harry Kane.

Kane has been on top form these past three seasons despite being dubbed as the a one season wonder by many.

Aguero has been Man City's most important forward for a nnumber of years and will go down in Citizen's history for his late goal against QPR, a, goal which saw the Manchester side lift the Premier League title for the first time in their history.

Even still, Ferdinand's comments have divided opinion on social media.

They are both world class strikers but while one is coming towards the plummet of his career, the other hasn't even reached his peak yet.

Who would you choose to be your main striker - Kane or Aguero?
